The Founding Dean of College of Engineering at princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.
She completed her PhD, year 2010 in Computer Science more specifically Artificial Intelligence where her research activities carried on ever since.
Areej also served as the Head of Information Systems Department in King Abdulaziz university, when she also was appointed as a honorary lecturer at University of Essex in the United Kingdom.
Areej was contracted as fulltime consultant at the Saudi Electronic University where she served as the supervisor of Jeddah/ female branch, the consultant of vice rector - branches affairs and the manager of strategic studies department for branches affairs.
Areej served as the vice director of the computing skills unit and a coordinator for ABET accreditation renewal at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.
Areej, Has more than 30 published papers in various applications of AI.
